NTUA Professor Yannis Caloghirou, NTUA PhD Aimilia Protogerou and Ass.professor at the University of the Aegean Anastasia Konstantelou edited scientific and participated in the writing of the preface of the book “The strategic management of technology and innovation“, which writers are Margaret A. White and Garry D. Bruton.
The effective management of technology and innovation, and to interconnect them with entrepreneurship constitute today a major challenge for every company and organization, aimed at securing competitive advantage. The book puts the development of technology and innovation within the requirements of modern markets. Objective is to combine technology with business strategy and to present an overview of issues management. The originality of the approach is that it recognizes that managing innovation is not exclusively technological nor purely business concern. Instead, it is a field that requires a complex approach. The issues addressed in the book are of particular relevance to our country which have to turn to the systematic use of technology in the development and adoption of innovations that require interfacing with the organization of work and production, institutional changes, changing attitudes, capable of designing and realization of complex technological projects in which many different actors involved.
