The AEGIS final conference held on 5-7 September 2012, in Bocconi University, Milan, Italy, aims at presenting AEGIS’ research and policy results to both the academic community and policy makers. The AEGIS project aims to analyze knowledge-intensive entrepreneurship and related strategies and policies from a variety of disciplines and research methodologies such as economics, organization theory, strategic management, finance, economic history, economic geography, sociology, science and technology studies, and policy studies.
The Conference will focus on the most important empirical results coming out of the project and will also serve as a forum for discussing the most important policy implications concerning knowledge-intensive entrepreneurship in Europe. For this reason, the conference will involve not only AEGIS’ partners, but also a selection of researchers and experts from the International Scientific Advisory Board, as well as policy makers. Discussants will critically assess the findings, key-note speakers will address in their perspective issues raised by the research project, and a policy round table will discuss timely and interesting related issues. The Conference will target a diverse audience (researchers, policy makers, business executives, social and citizens organizations etc) in an attempt to tackle complex phenomena from a variety of angles and perspectives.
As part of this Conference, the Laboratory of Industrial & Energy Economics will have a strong presence with presentation of papers and posters of doctoral students.
