On May 11, 2015, the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Unit NTUA organized in collaboration with the EPI.noo the initiative of the Israeli Embassy, an event with a lecture of Mr. Rafi Nave. The event was themed “Israel – High Tech Nation” and had to do with issues of innovation and the example of Israel in relation to startups and entrepreneurship. Mr. Rafi Nave is head of the Entrepreneurship Unit of the Institute of Technology Τechnion in Haifa, Israel.
During his speech, Mr. Rafi Nave reported ecosystem of innovative companies in Israel and the factors that promoted the creation.
The performance of Israel is particularly impressive based on indicators such as publications per capita patents and number of startups. Also it is interesting that 50% of startups founders are graduates of the institution.
The objective of the Unit Entrepreneurship is both the cultivation of skills and knowledge transfer for the creation and management of an enterprise and to support those who want to implement a business idea, from the initial stage to the foundation and development of the business.
